PREP BOYS' SWIMMING: Swimmers to watch

BRIAN PARINE

School: Sehome

Year: Senior

A solid all-around swimmer who placed eighth at state in the 200 individual medley last year, Parine’s versatility will be a key to Sehome’s success this season.

COLIN FLYNN

School: Sehome

Year: Senior

After tying for third last season in the 50 freestyle, he will be one of the favorites to win a state title with the rest of the top four from last year all gradu-ated. He also took fifth in the 100 free and had a hand in the relays.

KYLE KELLER

School: Squalicum

Year: Senior

As one of Squalicum’s senior leaders Keller will be asked to carry a big load for the Storm this season, especially on the Squalicum relay teams. He also could make some noise in the sprints after placing 13th in the 50 freestyle last year.

SKYLER BAX

School: Sehome

Year: Senior

Bax is capable of producing big points for the Mariners, and he will need to step up in order for Sehome to improve on last year’s fifth-place team finish at state. He finished 20th in the preliminaries of the 100 breaststroke and had a hand in the Mariners relays.

EDDIE MYERS

School: Squalicum

Year: Senior

After gaining valuable experience as a member of last year’s state qualifying relay teams, Myers should provide veteran leadership to a deep Squalicum team. He was also 19th in the preliminaries of the 500 freestyle.
