School: Bellingham

Sport: Girls’ tennis

Year: Junior

Events: No. 2 doubles, No. 3 singles

What she did: Moore had a come-from-behind, win with partner Janelle Paxton against Squalicum’s Aurea d’Aquino and Danielle Grant and a straight-sets singles win against South Whidbey’s Jenn Gemkow to finish the season undefeated in singles (7-0) and doubles (4-0).

Sport: Girls’ golf

Year: Junior

What she did: Head had an outstanding match on Thursday in the Northwest Conference match hosted by Blaine at Semiahmoo Golf Resort, according to Mariners coach Don Helling. She shot an 81 (63 points using the Modified Stableford scoring system) and placed second overall in the match by only two points to Bellingham’s Claire Rachor. She shot an 83 (61) in Monday Northwest Conference Championships at Lake Padden Golf Course to lead the Mariners again. The Mariners finished first in the team standings in both tour-naments and won five conference outings this season.
