PREP BOYS' TENNIS PREVIEW: 5 players to watch

TYLER HANSON

Sr. Ferndale

Leads the way at No. 1 for a strong Golden Eagles singles core. Looking for the state tournament berth that eluded him by one spot last season at the district tournament.

TAYLOR POTHIER

Jr. Ferndale

County’s lone returning state tournament participant from last season. Strong singles player, but will move back to doubles with third partner in three years. Wants another shot at state after getting eliminated early last season.

EVAN MADILL

So. Sehome

No. 1 singles player on one of the top teams in the conference. Young player, but still dangerous and is improving quickly. Leads a young squad that has a very bright future.

WILL TOPP

Fr. Sehome

Freshman singles player who nearly grabbed the team’s No. 1 spot and will likely continue to challenge for it as the season continues. Has good tennis sense and a scary amount of potential.

JAKE TURK

Jr. Squalicum

Leading a singles squad that should be able to single-handedly win matches for the Storm this season. Looking to help his team overcome the one loss that separated it from a conference title last season. Tenacious player capable of coming back from a deficit.
