After helping Sehome to an unbeaten regular-season record, a third-straight Northwest Conference title and 12th-straight Class 2A district title and defending his bi-district singles title, in the process, Shane Lynette has been selected the All-Northwest Conference Most Valuable Player.
It’s the second time Lynette has been selected MVP by the league’s coaches.
Earning first-team honors were: Sehome’s Michael Bornstein and William Zhang; Bellingham’s Aaron Carter, Casey Carter, Ben Grabau and Koal Reyes-Schulze; Ferndale’s Tommy Lyons; Squalicum’s Carl Peterson and Colin Weller; Burlington-Edison’s Han Hiller and Sedro-Woolley’s Kyle Beuse.
Whatcom County second-team selections were: Bellingham’s Henry Spilker; Ferndale’s Ryan Slaughter; Lynden’s Eli Gripp; Sehome’s Prithvi Randhawa, Tully Scott and Skyler Weight; and Squalicum’s Nick Birnel and Thomas Synott.
