Forward Catherine Miles (Sr., Anacortes) scored the game’s first two goals as Western Washington University defeated University of Victoria, 3-2, in a women’s soccer exhibition contest on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Harrington Field on the WWU campus.

Miles gave the Vikings a 1-0 lead in the fifth minute, scoring on a rebound from five yards out after a shot by Savanna Moorehouse (Sr., Bonney Lake) was blocked. In the 22nd minute, Miles headed in a corner kick by Stephanie Hamilton (Sr., Orting Bellarmine Prep).

Victoria cut the lead to 2-1 in the 41st minute when Emma Greig stole the ball and tapped it into the lower left corner of the net.
