WWU men’s golf 14th after 36 holes at WNMU Mustang tourney

Western Washington University’s Kyle Schrader is tied for 18th in medalist play and the Vikings are 14th in the team standings following the first two rounds Monday, Apr. 6, at the Western New Mexico University Mustang Intercollegiate Men’s Golf Tournament in Goodyear, Ariz.

Schrader posted rounds of 73 and 74 for a 36-hole total of 147, and WWU shot 299 and 308 for a 607 total in the 16-team field.

Host WNMU holds a 10-stroke advantage at 574 (283-291). Tied for second at 584 are Cal State Monterey Bay (287-297), Colorado-Colorado Springs (298-286) and Dixie State (291-293).

WWU’s Chris Hatch is tied for 34th at 150 (74-76), Brennan Emory is tied for 62nd at 155 (75-80), Anthony Allen is tied for 71st at 157 (77-80) and Mark Strickland is tied for 74th at 158 (80-78).
