Western Washington University men’s 100-meter sprinter Alex Donigian and women’s javelin thrower Katie Reichert were unable to reach the finals in their respective events despite solid performances at the 88th Annual Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Friday, March 27, at Mike A. Myers Stadium on the University of Texas campus.
Reichert placed 10th in the javelin with a throw of 152-11 (46.62). Her other two efforts were both 150-8.
Winning the event with a mark of 199-6 was Kara Winger, representing Asics. She is a two-time Olympian and the American record holder.
Donigian, seeing his first outdoor competition of the season, placed fourth in his heat and 11th overall with a time of 10.50. He was the top Division II placer.
