WWU men fifth after first two rounds at Cal Baptist Invitational

Western Washington University’s Mark Strickland is tied for eighth in medalist play and the Vikings are fifth in the team standings after the first two rounds on Monday, March 23, at the Cal Baptist Men’s Golf Invitational being played at the Eagle Glen Golf

The Vikings shot rounds of 295 and 298 for a 36-hole total of 593.

Strickland opened with a 2-under par 72 and then shot 75 for a 145 total.

WWU’s Chris Hatch is tied for 15th at 147 (76-71), Brennan Emory is tied for 28th at 150 (77-73), Kyle Schrader is tied for 36th at 150 (72-80) and Kyle Lindor is tied for 49th at 156 (77-79).

Tied for medalist honors at 2-under par 142 are Chico State’s Lee Gearhart (70-72) and Sonoma State’s Justin Shluker (75-67).
