Two Western Washington University athletes, sprinter Alex Donigian and distance runner Katelyn Steen, were named to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field All-America team announced Monday, March 16.
The honor goes to those finishing among the top eight in the finals of their events at the NCAA II national championships last week at Birmingham, Ala.
Donigian placed second in the men’s 60-meter dash, finishing just .001 of a second behind the winner with a time of 6.717 seconds. He also earned All-America honors last spring in outdoor track, being fifth in the 100.
Steen was fourth in the 5,000 with a time of 16:54.31. She also placed 10th in the 3,000.
