Saturday scrimmage canceled because of predicted high winds and rain

A Western Washington University women’s rowing scrimmage scheduled for Saturday, March 14, on Lake Samish has been cancelled because of predicted high winds and rain.

The Vikings were slated to have a number of races involving Pacific Lutheran, Puget Sound and Seattle Pacific.

WWU officially begins its season on March 28, competing in the Daffodil Sprints on American Lake near Tacoma.

Last year, the Vikings placed third at the NCAA Division II National Championships with just two points separating the top three teams.
