Three members of the Western Washington University women’s basketball team were named to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Academic All-Star team announced Tuesday, Feb. 24, by the conference office.
The trio includes forward Rachel Albert, guard Aleisha Hathaway and forward Taylor Peacocke.
Peacocke is a sociology major with a 3.63 grade point average. Hathaway is a kinesiology major with a 3.50 GPA, and Albert is a kinesiology major with a 3.30 GPA.
Peacocke leads the Vikings in scoring at 13.8 points per game, while being second in rebounds (4.7) and steals (2.4) and third in assists (2.2). Hathaway is averaging 3.0 points on 46.9 percent 3-point shooting, and Albert is averaging 2.5 points on 59.5 percent field-goal accuracy.
