Western Washington University shot 311, tying for the best round of the day, and moved up two places to finish eighth at the Super San Diego Women’s Collegiate Championship, which ended Tuesday, Feb. 10, at the Riverwalk Golf Course in San Diego.
The Vikings had a 36-hole total of 645. They tied for Tuesday’s low round honors with Cal Baptist, which placed first at 613 (311). That was 16 strokes better than runner-up Sonoma State at 629 (315).
WWU’s Jenn Paul tied for 15th in medalist play at 158 (76), Tying for 24th at 162 were Anna Bourland (79) and Kristen Hansen.
The Vikings’ Brooke Branigan tied for 30th at 163 (81) and Audrey Orem tied for 54th at 173 (85).
Taking medalist honors by two strokes at 2-over par 146 (76) was Dixie State’s Haley Dunn, who shot 2-under 70.
