Western Washington University guard/forward Taylor Peacock has been named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball co-Player of the Week for Jan. 4-10.
It was the second time that Peacocke has been honored this season.
Peacocke, a 5-foot-9 sophomore from Kenmore, had 41 points, 10 assists, 10 rebounds and five steals in road wins at Central Washington, 76-68, and Northwest Nazarene, 85-66. She shot 70.8 percent (17-of-24) from the field in the two games.
Peacocke, who is averaging 14.8 points and 8.0 rebounds, shared the GNAC weekly honor with Alaska Fairbank’s Benissa Bulaya.
Peacocke ranks 11th nationally in NCAA Division II in free throw shooting at 91.4 percent (53 of 58).
WWU, 9-5 overall and 3-2 in GNAC play, hosts Western Oregon on Thursday, Jan. 15 (7 p.m.), and Saint Martin’s on Saturday, Jan. 17 (7 p.m.), in GNAC counters at Carver Gym.
