Western Washington University guard/forward Taylor Peacock has been named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball co-Player of the Week for Nov. 16-22.
Peacocke, a 5-foot-9 sophomore from Kenmore, had 43 points, 24 rebounds, six assists and six steals as the Vikings split a pair of games at the West Region Crossover Classic last weekend. She had 27 points and 17 rebounds in a 79-74 loss to Azusa Pacific, and 16 points and seven rebounds in an 80-77 overtime win against UC San Diego.
Peacocke was named to the WRCC all-tournament team. It was the second straight week that she has earned all-tourney recognition.
Peacocke, who is averaging 19.3 points and 8.0 rebounds, shared the GNAC weekly honor with Seattle Pacific’s Suzanna Ohlsen.
