Freshman Jenn Paul tied for third in medalist play and Western Washington University finished second in a 10-team field at the Sonoma State University Women’s Golf Fall Invitational Tournament, which ended Tuesday on the North course at the Foxtail Golf Club.
The Vikings, who held a five-stroke lead after Monday’s round, shot 314 for a 36-hole total of 610. That put them 11 strokes behind champion St. Edward’s TX, which shot 296 over the final 18 holes for a 599 total.
Chico State was third at 613 (312) and host Sonoma State was fourth at 618 (312).
Paul shot 78 for a 4-over par total of 148 to tie for third with Dani O’Keefe from Chico State. It was Paul’s third top five performance in four outings this fall.

WWU’s Anna Bourland and Brooke Branigan each shot 80 and tied for 17th at 155. Kristen Hansen shot the Vikings’ best round of 76 and placed 19th at 156, and Audrey Orem tied for 30th at 163 (87).
