COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Huskies get brother of Seahawks' Trufant

Wilson High School cornerback Desmond Trufant, brother of Seattle Seahawks star Marcus Trufant, has given his oral commitment to attend the University of Washington, according to RealDawg.com and Dawgman.com.

“It was the right place for me,” Trufant told Dawgman. “I just felt the intensity of all the coaches and the passion they have for the game and how they want to turn the program back around and make UW into the best program it can be.”

Trufant is a 5-foot-11, 170-pound cornerback. He also plays basketball and participates in track and field.

Marcus Trufant, a former Pro Bowl player, attended Washington State.

Both recruiting Web sites also report that Chris Robinson, a defensive tackle from Tustin (Calif.) High has committed to UW.
