The Bellingham Bells used six different pitchers to earn a 3-0 shutout over the San Francisco Seals in a non-league game Saturday evening, July 11, at Joe Martin Field.
Patrcik McGrath powered the Bells at the plate, recording three hits, including a key triple. The Bells scored in the fourth and eight innings.
“It was a real team effort,” assistant coach Mike Dange said in a phone interview. “Anytime you can throw a bunch of horses out there on the mound, and they put a zero on the scoreboard it is going to give our offense some confidence.”
Bellingham has a day off before opening a three-game set on the road against Cowlitz at 6:35 p.m. Monday, July 13.
