Says too many deer in the city

My heart goes out to the family from Bellingham that had their son badly hurt in Westport by hitting a deer.

Bellingham City has way too many deer. We have a herd in our neighborhood that actually live here. Deer are dirty, wild animals that can cause disease. The deer eat (destroy) plants and lawns. Our resident deer are getting so large (over 200 pounds) I am actually getting scared of confrontations with them. There are way too many deer on Lakeway, Electric, Barkley, Northshore, Edgemore — everywhere. We have called many agencies, to no avail, to do something about the over population! Does someone in Bellingham need to be killed by a deer before anything will be done?
