Exhorts youth to take on leadership roles

To the young people in our community: Many of you have concerns about the many dire issues of today; yet few are involved in changing the issues that I believe allow corporate bullies to rule us and use infotainment, commercials and technology to lure you into apathy.

They automate jobs, reducing the work force, outsource jobs and pay wages so low in other countries that you couldn’t even buy a hamburger on what many of those people make per hour; they offer you minimum wage jobs as they make trillions used in flashy news to keep you distracted while they rule our economy and political system and destroy our people and our environment!

This is a critical time in history, and it is important that you are actively involved, because at the end of the day it is your lives that will be on the line. Recently stated by a young person in Baltimore, “The role of young people is to be on the front line, to be leaders, the role of adults is to be supporting, giving their wisdom.” Wise words! All major movements that have truly created change in this country, and in the world, have always been predominantly led by young people. We did it in the 1960s and 1970s, now it is your turn.

Be our leaders! Advocate a better world for you!….you are the future, you determine what your world will be like, either by your inaction or your action! Get involved!

If not you, who; if not now, when?
