Unhappy preschool program ending

My husband and I live in Ferndale and own property in Bellingham. We are very disappointed that the preschool program at Bloedel Donovan Park is being closed after this school year. Our granddaughter has attended this wonderful school for two years and benefited from the wonderful teachers and the facility at the park which was perfect for preschool children. The little building with gardens in the front was designed for the youngsters to explore art, story time and science. The playground and indoor gym at the park provided active play and exercise as well. It was a safe and loving experience for our granddaughter. She is ready for kindergarten! We will now have to find another school for our grandson when he is ready for preschool. I wish that the parks and recreation department would reconsider the decision to end this much needed program.
