From my dog: My name is Bandit and I am a 12-year-old chihuahua who lives with my owner, my litter mate and our adopted sister. On April 4, while our owner was away, someone trespassed on our property and opened the gate to our fenced back yard. Freedom was exciting and exhilarating. But when my brother and sister ran home, I got lost. I am blind so when they ran off I couldn’t find my way home. I want to thank the kind neighbor who found me and took me to the animal shelter where my owner reclaimed me the next day. I was rescued at the corner of St. Clair and Texas streets, three blocks from home. The shelter couldn’t tell my owner who you are due to privacy concerns. So we want to publicly thank you for saving my life and helping me find my way home.
