Says senators betrayed trust

The decison of 47 G.O.P. senators to communicate directly with the Iranian government is unprecedented. Our president is authorized under the Constitution to conduct foreign affairs. Sen. Pat Roberts of Kansas, a former Marine, according to “The Herald,” says that the message is not traitorous, but this former Marine disagrees with him. A traitor is “one who betrays another’s trust,” and I believe this action does just that.
