Letters to the Editor

Finds fault with letters’ ‘facts’

I wish people would get their “facts” straight before sending in their letters. Case in point, the recent letter condemning President Obama for sending a bust of Churchill back to England (there were two and the one returned was actually on loan) and now today another letter writer condemning the president for not retracting his claim that al-Qaida is dead. Here is a quote from his state of the union message,

“The fact is, that danger remains. While we have put al-Qaida’s core leadership on a path to defeat, the threat has evolved, as al-Qaida affiliates and other extremists take root in different parts of the world.” — Obama in his State of the Union Address 2014. One does not refute what one has not said.
