Concerned about arming Ukrainians

Before we allow Obama to send arms to the Ukrainian regime, thus escalating the conflict into a direct confrontation with Russia possibly costing tens of thousands of lives, we should learn the facts.

The Ukrainian regime seized power by ousting an elected government supported by the areas now in revolt. The Russian majority in those areas (eastern Ukraine) are rebelling because they do not believe the Ukrainian government represents them or their interests. Our support for Ukraine would be to thwart the popular will in eastern Ukraine, contrary to our ideals. Nor would it serve our interests to throw money into a conflict we can’t win. Regarding Putin’s support for the rebels, this is not Russian aggression: I believe he is only doing like what we have done on numerous occasions, intervening in foreign conflicts to support American interests.
