Sees irony in timing, reasoning of attacks

The Bellingham Herald of Jan. 7 reported that coalition strikes in Islamic State territories have killed civilians. Our own U.S. Central Command is looking into these air strikes, which targeted Islamic State fighters, equipment and oil depots. Although these fighters embed themselves among civilians, we always try to avoid such deaths.

It is ironic that this Jan. 7 article appeared the same day a terrorist cell in Paris butchered 12 civilians and critically wounded four.
