Questions statistics on racism

Is it really all that surprising that blacks suffer 32 percent of all deaths caused by law enforcement officers when they are arrested for 39 percent of the violent crimes? I found this at blogs.channel4.com/factcheck/factcheck-black-americans-commit-crime/19439 and blogs.channel4.com/factcheck/factcheck-black-americans-killed-police/19423.

This is not to say that there is no racism whatsoever in police departments across the United States or that there isn’t room for improvement in how the police interact with citizens, but why assume racism when other factors adequately explain the statistics?
