I am concerned that the various state law enforcement agencies in Whatcom County are going to allow the unlawful trafficking of firearms. I’ve been reading through the text of I-594, and there are firearms that are for sale at many stores around the county. I believe people can buy these firearms without the required background check. I hope that the police departments in the county will take action to stop the unlawful trafficking of firearms. I looked on Craigslist, and I found a lot of firearms for sale. Will those sellers conduct background checks? They need to. If they don’t, they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
