I was surprised to see a recent political cartoon in The Bellingham Herald about Jonathan Gruber, the Massachusetts Insitute of Technology professor who I believe was heavily involved in the creation and selling of the Affordable Care Act, but the story has been missing in the Herald news section. When someone that involved with “Obamacare” brags that they had to mislead the voters in order to achieve their ends and says they took advantage of the stupidity of the American people, that to me, is a news story worth covering.
And that some politicians seem to have never heard of him or downgraded Gruber’s influence is also a story. Some seem to not realize that statements made in the past of politicians saying how influential Gruber was for Obamacare were recorded in print and sometimes in video.
