"Right of way by law is on the pedestrian's side, with the driver having the onus to recognize a pedestrian and yield. That said, the sense of entitlement by pedestrians is unbelievable! ... Dead right doesn't work out well for anyone. I suggest it is a shared responsibility and only a fool would cross without looking to make sure it is safe. Drivers do not always see a pedestrian for a variety of reasons."
