The Bellingham/Whatcom League of Women Voters and the city of Bellingham are hosting voter information forums on local candidates, state commissioner of public lands and ballot measures. The Bellingham Herald is media sponsor of the events and encourages voters to attend.
League members will moderate the panels, and questions from the audience are encouraged.
State commissioner of public lands: 6:30 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 18, at the Bellingham City Council Chambers, 210 Lottie St. Aug. 2 primary election candidates for Washington’s commissioner of public lands will speak. This forum is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Washington Education Fund and the Washington Association of Land Trusts. Doors open at 6 p.m.
U.S. representatives: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, at Bellingham City Council Chambers, 210 Lottie St. Candidates for 1st and 2nd U.S. congressional districts will speak. Doors open at 9 a.m.
