Judge Tom Larkin will retire July 31 from his seat on the Pierce County Superior Court bench, he said in a release Monday.
He served 20 years in Superior Court and 10 years in District Court.
Larkin was a member of the Superior Court Judges Association, and his roles have included chairman of the presiding Judges Education Committee and leader in the Detention Reform Project at Remann Hall juvenile detention center.
He graduated from Gonzaga Law School in1973, and was a presiding judge in District Court, Juvenile Court and Superior Court.

Larkin said he looks forward to traveling and spending more time with his wife, four children and five grandkids.
