The Port of Olympia is moving most of its administrative staff to a new location over the next two weeks.
The new destination is Percival Plaza at 606 Columbia St. NW, across from Budd Bay Cafe in downtown Olympia. The port’s current administrative home is on the marine terminal.
The move will take place from May 27 to May 29, and then again the following week from June 2 through June 5, according to the port.
Once the move is complete, Percival Plaza will be home to the port’s real estate, executive, finance, environmental and engineering departments, which totals about 26 people.

Port commission meetings also will take place at the new site. Commission meetings currently are held in Tumwater near Olympia Regional Airport.
One reason for the move is to improve public access to port staff, port officials have said. Access to the marine terminal and the port’s administrative offices was restricted following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
