A series of power outages kept many in Sudden Valley without electricity on one of the coldest days of the year, according to Puget Sound Energy.
The first outage in the area started around 6 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, PSE spokesperson Christina Donegan said on Sunday. That outage affected about 3,100 customers, most of whom had power back by around noon, she said.
About 100 to 150 customers remained without electricity until about 6 p.m., when crews were able to restore power.
However, a series of isolated outages quickly followed when heavy demand on the system blew fuses throughout the night, Donegan said.

"Crews had to go to each one, isolate the problem and manually make the repairs," Donegan said.
As of Sunday morning, PSE was not aware of any outages in that area, but Donegan said customers are encouraged to report problems to PSE at 888-225-5773 or at pse.com.
