A man who reportedly robbed a convenience store at gunpoint early Saturday morning had not been caught as of Monday afternoon, police say.
A man walked into Yorky’s Market at 2418 Alabama Street just before 2:15 a.m., said Sgt. Ken Brown with the Bellingham Police Department.
The man displayed a handgun and told the cashier to hand over all the money in the till. The cashier gave the man the money, and the man left on foot. The cashier was not injured, Brown said.
Officers who responded to the scene could not find the man. He was described as 6-foot-2, white and in his 20s. He wore a blond wig underneath a hat, a white shirt and dark jeans.
