Two men forced their way into a house, demanded drugs and money and brandished a stun gun before apparently leaving empty-handed early Thursday, May 28, according to police.
The two men kicked down the door of a house on the 6100 block of Portal Way just after midnight, said Ferndale Police Lt. Bill Hatchett.
One of the men who demanded cash and drugs had a stun gun, Hatchett said. The residents said they had nothing to give them, and the robbers — wearing bandanas over their faces — fled when a resident threatened to call 911.
Ferndale officers and police dogs searched the area for the two suspects but could not find them. Detectives continued to investigate the case Thursday.
