Twenty-one tractors traveled Ferndale’s Paradise Road on Friday, July 29, in a procession to honor Don McKay, 74, who died July 4 unloading one of his antique tractors for a Fourth of July parade in Blaine.
The longtime farmer, who was known for reaching out to those in need, even strangers, owned four antique John Deere tractors and was often seen driving them in local parades.
A short graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery followed the Friday procession, which was organized by Don’s son, Bruce McKay.
