Celebrate the largest harvest of raspberries in North America Friday and Saturday, July 15 and 16, in downtown Lynden, with family-friendly activities like a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, arts and crafts, a 5K fun run, a classic car show and live music on two stages.
Most events take place on Front Street.
You can try raspberry treats, ice-cream sundaes, parfaits and pies. You can buy pints or flats of the berries and shop vendor booths at the Berry Fair Street Market. Those 21 and older can enjoy a raspberry beer at the Timeout Razz Beer-y Garden; and imbibe in BelleWood Acres’ raspberry-infusion vodka or Honey Moon Winery’s raspberry hard cider and wine.
Friday’s events begin at 10 a.m., with kids’ activities that include a scavenger hunt, an obstacle course and a bounce house.
