Wholesale nursery Cascade Cuts opens to the public one day a year for its fundraiser benefiting the environmental business group Sustainable Connections, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at 632 Montgomery Road.

Its greenhouses in the King Mountain neighborhood feature organic vegetable and herb starts, annual and perennial flowers, hanging baskets and more.

Sales support Sustainable Connections’ Food & Farming Program efforts, such as the Whatcom Food & Farm Finder guide, the annual Whatcom County Farm Tour and other local events.
