This Saturday and next are free admission days for Washington state parks, among several in 2015 when the annual Discover Pass or a $10 day-use fee will not be required to visit a state park.

Saturday, June 6, marks National Trails Day; Saturday, June 13, celebrates National Get Outdoors Day. All three state parks in Whatcom County are participating — Birch Bay, Larrabee and Peace Arch.

Day-use fees at national forest sites also are waived both Saturdays.
