Learn about garden problems at free Ferndale workshop

People can learn about common garden problems and solutions that are friendly to the environment during a free workshop Sunday, June 7, at Hovander Homestead Park.

The event begins at 2 p.m. at Tennant Lake Interpretive Center off Nielsen Avenue in Ferndale.

People will learn the basics of vegetable and plant diseases during the workshop, which will focus on identifying and preventing common garden scourges.

It is among the workshops put on by the Master Gardener Program.
