Girls in Engineering, Math and Science fair is Saturday at WWU

Families can hear from an astronaut, touch marine life and learn about robots at Western Washington University on Saturday, May 30.

The Girls in Engineering, Math and Science fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Academic West building on Western’s campus.

Astronaut Wendy Lawrence will give a presentation at the fair. There will be other demonstrations every 30 minutes informing families about careers in science, technology, engineering and math.

There will also be a silent auction and prize table, with all proceeds supporting women participating in Western Youth Programs this summer.

The event is free and open to the public. Families are asked to register in advance by going to https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BZT928K.
