Canadian country star Terri Clark to play Lynden fair in August

Country music star — and Canadian — Terri Clark will return to the Northwest Washington Fair stage this summer.

The eight-time Canadian Country Music Awards’ Entertainer of the Year has sold more than 5 million albums in her career and churned out hits including “Better Things to Do,” “Girls Lie Too” and “I Just Wanna Be Mad.”

Clark performed at the fair in 2006. She will appear Friday, Aug. 21, this year.

Terri Clark was a hit with our fans last time she was here and her popularity has grown since then,” said Jim Baron, general manager of the Northwest Washington Fair.

Tickets for Clark’s grandstand show go on general sale at 9 a.m. June 3 at nwwafair.com. They also will be available at the fair office, 1775 Front St., and by phone at (877) 699-FAIR. Prices are $15 for a reserved grandstand seats and $40 for a preferred seat.

The only other grandstand act already announced for the fair is Christian rock band Skillet with opening act Colton Dixon. Tickets for that Aug. 20 show already are on sale.
