Comments sought on new building planned next to Fairhaven Library

A local architect has applied at the city planning department to build a 15,000-square-foot retail and office building in Fairhaven.

The two-story building by David Christensen would be built at 1125 12th St., on the corner of 12th and Mill streets, on what is now a vacant lot next to the Fairhaven Library.

The project is undergoing design review with city planners. The full application and site plan can be viewed at the permit center in City Hall, 210 Lottie St. Call 360-778-8300.

The public may comment on the project’s environmental impacts until May 19. Email planner Jackie Lynch at jlynch@cob.org.
