Speaker from Michael J. Fox Foundation to discuss Parkinson’s research April 22 in Bellingham

Joceyln Scherr from the Michael J. Fox Foundation will discuss the latest research into Parkinson’s disease during a free public talk at the Whatcom Family YMCA.

Her talk starts at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, in the fourth-floor conference room of the downtown YMCA, 1256 N. State St. The room is accessible by elevator.

The YMCA offers a “Pedaling for Parkinson’s” program, because studies indicate riding a stationary bicycle can help reduce the symptoms of Parkinson’s, a progressive disorder of the nervous system.
