High school students interested in receiving training in high-demand jobs while earning high school and college credits can apply for the 2015-16 school year at Northwest Career & Technical Academy.
The academy offers tuition-free training for high school, home school and GED students under 21, and has programs on campuses in both Whatcom and Skagit counties.
Whatcom Community College will hold three new courses on campus next year: computer security and support, early childhood education and medical assisting careers. Construction, sustainable engineering and welding courses will be held at Meridian High School.
Mount Vernon, Anacortes and Sedro-Woolley also will host programs.
