Neighbors have an opportunity to learn about a new apartment building planned on the site of the former Hempler’s sausage-processing plant in the Lettered Streets neighborhood.
A public meeting on the project will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, in the lecture room at the Bellingham Public Library, 210 Central Ave.
The developer, Heron Point Holdings, would demolish the Hempler’s building and construct a four-story, 30-unit apartment building over ground-floor retail at 1401 F St. The developer must apply for a design permit, and the public will be asked to comment on preliminary designs to be shown at the meeting.
For more information on how the public can participate in the review of this project, call city planner Jackie Lynch at 360-778-8300.
