Bellingham Technical College and the Whatcom County Health Department are sponsoring a free immunization clinic for adults from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 19, in BTC’s Haskell Center, Room 111, 3028 Lindbergh Ave.
Students in the college’s registered nursing program will administer the vaccines, including the measles vaccine, with supervision by a registered nurse. The clinic is for people 19 and older who are uninsured or whose insurance does not cover vaccines. Walk-ins are welcome.
The following vaccines will be offered while supplies last: Influenza (for people 19 to 64); hepatitis A; hepatitis B; human papillomavirus vaccine (for women and men 19 to 26); tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis; and measles, mumps and rubella.
A limited number of shingles vaccines for older adults also will be available on a first-come first-served basis.
