The Ferndale Public Market will have a new time and location in 2015.
The market will be located in a grassy space behind the Boys & Girls Club near Pioneer Park from 2 to 7 p.m. Sundays. The first market will be held June 7 and will run Sundays through Oct. 11.
The previous location was at Centennial Riverwalk Park, and went from 10 a.m. until late afternoon on Saturdays.
President Tim Cahill said the Saturday schedule conflicted with markets in Bellingham and Lynden. The new time will attract more vendors from the Bellingham market, he said, and will provide better parking and less traffic noise.

Cahill isn’t too worried about missing the lunch crowd, saying people usually are busier early on Sundays. He envisions the 2 to 7 p.m. time will provide an opportunity for afternoon family picnics.
“It’s our own time; we’re not trying to compete with other markets,” Cahill said. “Having a Sunday market would be a little different niche, I think.”
Vendor applications can be found on the market’s updated website, ferndalepublicmarket.org.
