If you’ve got an idea of how North State Street should be improved, the city wants to hear it.
Specifically, the city wants help planning for the future of North State, between York Street and the roundabout at Wharf Street.
Staff members will take ideas at a design meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at The Majestic, 1027 N. Forest St.
The input will be used to shape future design that might slow down traffic, add parking, improve bicycle safety and widen sidewalks. The design also could include plans to make the street safer and more beautiful by doing things such as adding lighting, plants, bike parking and art.
