Northwest Career & Technical Academy to hold open houses Feb. 25

Whatcom Community College is hosting an open house Wednesday, Feb. 25, for high school students interested in receiving training in high-demand jobs while earning college credit from the Northwest Career & Technical Academy.

The academy offers tuition-free training for high school, home school and GED students under age 21. There are programs in both Whatcom and Skagit counties.

Students and parents are invited to two open houses Wednesday to learn more about the program. Whatcom Community College’s Health Professions Education Center, on the corner of Cordata Parkway and Stuart Road, is hosting an open house from 7 to 8 p.m..

An open house at Meridian High School, 194 W. Laurel Road, will be held the same night from 6 to 7 p.m.
